Sponsor

Although our inaugural trip to Cambodia in summer 2013 was dedicated to the delivery of our developmental drama programme, we soon realised that one of the most effective and sustainable ways of supporting the children is through sponsorship.

We are proud to say that so far, our sponsorship programme has helped change the lives of over a hundred children. These sponsorships provide a continual support system for those children. The sponsorship consists of a yearly fee of $350.00 that covers basic needs such as two meals a day, clothing including uniforms, school supplies, pocket money, 20kg of rice a month, and other basic foodstuffs for the family, and medical check-ups.

Sponsorships also make up for the considerable shortfall in state funding. In this way sponsors - or ‘godparents’ are they affectionately called - allow these children to continue having a home. To date, and as a direct result of the hard work and dedication of DO Project, approximately 130 children are now in school, giving them the chance of a better and more secure future.

Moreover, the onset of technology allows godparents and children to have a tangible relationship, with the exchange of images and information by email and Skype calls keeping sponsors constantly updated about their children’s progress.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child please sign up and we will provide you with further information.
